What is Blue Jeans for Babies Day?

Blue Jeans for Babies Day is a fun and easy way to raise awareness and funds for the March of Dimes on Prematurity Awareness Day, which is Tuesday, November 17, 2009 (or any day of your choice in November). On the designated day of your choice, employees wear jeans for a $5 employee donation to the March of Dimes.

How much does Blue Jeans for Babies cost?

Bllue Jeans for Babies will not cost your company a cent! The March of Dimes will provide all promotional materials and stickers you will need to have a successful campaign. We simply ask that your employees make a donation of $5 each to wear jeans on the designated jeans day. In return, we will provide stickers for them to wear for the day that display their support for our cause.

Our elected leaders in Springfield have difficult choices to make. The State is awash in debt and unemployment continues to rise. The Naperville Area Chamber of Commerce is pleased to offer our Members an opportunity to get to the know the candidates who are running for Governor and who will appear on the February 2, 2010 primary ballots.

The actions taken in Springfield impact Naperville directly. Our community is home to over 5,000 businesses and more 60,000 jobs. The Chamber through the involvement of you, our engaged Members, are letting our business community's priorities be known to all the candidates seeking to be the chief executive officer of the state of Illinois.

"The Chamber is incredibly proud to be able to offer our Members access to the candidates seeking to represent them in the Executive Mansion," said Chamber President & CEO, John Schmitt. "These sessions are an opportunity for Naperville's business leaders to learn where the candidates stand and engage in a mutual exchange of information."

The next event in the series will feature Senator Kirk Dillar on Monday, November 30, from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m., at Raffi's on 5th, 200 E. Fifth Avenue, Suite 127.

The meet the candidates events are free to attend. The events feature a cash bar and complimentary light appetizers. Each event has a suggested cash donation of $10 to offset the meeting costs.

The Naperville Area Chamber Political Action Committee, the associated political corporation of the Chamber, will be hosting their annual fundraiser on Wednesday, December 2 at 6:00 p.m., at the Comedy Shrine in downtown Naperville.

The event will feature a politically incorrect performance that will poke fun at recent developments in the state and national political dialogue.

All Aboard! The Naperville Jaycees will be hosting their annual Santa Train rides on Saturday December 5th. Trains are scheduled to depart the Naperville 5th Avenue Station at 10 a.m. and noon. Each train will travel to about Brookfield, switch tracks and return to the Naperville 5th Avenue Station, allowing children time to meet Santa, sing and play games along the way. Tickets for the event can be purchased online at NaperJaycees.org or in person at the 5th Avenue Station on Saturday, November 14th from 9am until noon. The cost is $15 per person and every person must have a ticket for insurance purposes. Each ticket is numbered by train car, so organizers encourage participants to coordinate ahead of time with friends and family to ensure all tickets are for the same car at the same time.
