Meet the Gubernatorial Candidates Series Begins October 20 |
|
|
The State of Illinois has tough choices to make and as citizens, we have an
opportunity to impact the future course. On February 2, 2010, the voters will
decide which candidates will appear on the ballot. The actions taken in
Springfield impact Naperville directly. Home to over 5,000 businesses, 60,000+
jobs, and it is important that we let our priorities be known to all the
candidates seeking to be the chief executive officer of the state of Illinois.
"The Chamber is incredibly proud to be able to offer our Members access to
the candidates seeking to represent them in the Executive Mansion," said Chamber
President & CEO, John Schmitt. "These sessions are an opportunity for
Naperville's leaders to learn where the candidates stand and engage in an
exchange of information about what our priorities are."
On Tuesday, October 20 at 5:00 p.m. at the Frog Pond Private Room at Hugo's
Frog Bar in downtown Naperville, the Chamber kicks off the series with Senator
Bill Brady. Senator Brady is seeking the republican nomination and more
information about him can be found on his website at
http://bradyforillinois.com.
The Meet the Candidate Series will feature informal meet and greet session at
various locations to allow Members an opportunity to get to know the candidates
in an informal session. Following the primary, candidates seeking other offices
will be invited to the Chamber.
The events are free to attend, and will feature a cash bar and complimentary
light appetizers. Each event features a suggested cash donation of $10 to offset
the meeting costs.
